Cidade de Ponta Delgada, ilha de São Miguel. Esta pequena baía, chamada de “Pesqueiro”, é uma zona balnear muito conhecida na cidade. Tem nadador salvador todo o ano, pois há banhistas durante todo o ano (eu já fui e espero em breve retomar esta rotina). E está sempre cheio quando os dias de sol aparecem, como foi o caso deste dia.
Fica localizado nas Portas do Mar, onde tem o cais de cruzeiros e uma área de restauração.

Ponta Delgada city, São Miguel island. This small bay, called “Pesqueiro”, is a bath area well known in the city. It has lifeguard from January to December, so you can feel safe, because there are bathers during the Winter too (I was one of them and, soon, I hope to come back to this routine). And it’s full during the sunny days!
It’s located in Portas do Mar, where there is a Cruise Terminal and an area of restaurants.
It’s a must for those who visit Ponta Delgada!

E este era o antigo Pesqueiro, em 2006 (fotografia abaixo), numa altura em que foi destruído para dar lugar ao terminal marítimo de cruzeiros (Portas do Mar). Mas como era muito frequentado, os banhistas pediram que fosse criada uma zona de banhos para manterem a rotina dos banhos de mar. E assim foi.
And this was the old Pesqueiro, in 2006 (photo below), before it was destroyed to be built the cruise terminal called Portas do Mar. But because the area was always with people during all months, the bathers asked to be built a new bath area to continue with their rotine. And the request was fulfilled.
